How to Participate in the Helios Testnet

Introduction

In this guide, you’ll explore the Helios testnet: how to claim your NFT, execute swaps, and complete other key tasks.

Step 1

First, we need to head over to testnet.helioschain.network & connect wallet.

Step 2

Insert our code if not inserted already, and press Continue.

Step 3

Follow the 5 steps then Continue to the dashboard.

Step 4

You should now be in the Helios testnet dashboard, here you can monitor your XP, refer other users using your code and also claim test tokens from the Faucet.

Go to the Faucet button and press Claim Tokens.

Step 5

Now we should have 1 Helios test token, we can use this token to mint the Helios NFT.

To do this, head over to sweep.haus/Helios and mint the NFT.

Step 6

Next, head over to swap.lunari.finance & connect your wallet.

Here we can perform swaps using our HLS test tokens.

Step 7

Now let's stake some of our test HLS tokens to Helios validators. To do this, we need to head over to: portal.helioschain.network/validators & connect wallet.

Now just choose a Validator and press Stake Now.

After that, we just need to choose the asset to stake, in this case we will use Helios.

Then input the amount of Helios and press Confirm Stake.

Step 8

Lastly, head over to the Governance page. Here you can create proposals or vote on proposals created by other users.

Interacting with these will generate a good amount of XP.

After selecting a proposal, scroll down to find the vote section to cast a vote.
