Introduction
Decibel is a high-performance, fully on-chain trading engine built on Aptos.
It combines spot, perps, margin, and vaults into one unified platform, offering CEX-level speed and low fees while keeping everything transparent and self-custodied. With sub-second finality, deep liquidity, and upcoming cross-margin multi-collateral accounts, Decibel aims to make advanced trading fast, composable, and completely on-chain.
Step 1
First, head over to the Decibel testnet app: app.decibel.trade/trade & connect your Petra Aptos Wallet.
If you don't have a Petra Aptos Wallet, you can check out our quick tutorial here: How to setup Petra Aptos Wallet

Step 2
After connecting wallet, press the Mint USDC button in the top-right and approve transaction.
This will give you 1,000 test USDC to experiment with.
If you didn't receive tokens the first time, try again.

Step 3
Now we can begin interacting with the Decibel testnet.
Start by opening either a Long or Short position.
To do this, simply set your leverage amount, in this example, we will select 10x.
In the Order Size box, select USDC and choose how much you want to use for the trade, we will use 200 USDC for this example.
If you would like to select a Take Profit and/or Stop Loss price level, you can do this too although it is completely optional.
Finally, select Place BTC Order to open your position.

Once your position has been opened, you will see it below the chart under Positions.
